Invisible Things Are Not Necessarily Not-There (after T.M.)

Invisible Things Are Not Necessarily Not-There (after T.M.) comprises twenty-three glass casts of jail debris (cell bars and bricks) from Division I at the Cook County of Corrections in Chicago. The glass sculptures are strewn across the ground as fragments of penal matter. However, in this interpretation, the impenetrable iron bars and bricks are transfigured into glass windows where looking out and in provides meaningful moments of connection across carceral boundaries.
